Sam handed it to him, open to a page that had tear stains on it.

I hope that one day, Justin will find this. I hope he'll find this and read it and know that none of this was his fault. He's more than just my upstairs neighbour. He was my friend. I do hope everything works out for him, whether it's with Emma or with someone else.

Justin put the notebook down and began to tear up. "Excuse me for a moment." He walked into the bathroom of the apartment and started to cry.
