Halo opened his temporary apartment door and pulls his bag inside.

(I'm about to say something new that you're not going to like but it's the only way to get rid of Lena.)

Liam had his bag on his lap and pushed himself in. It had only been about a week or so since Lena's funeral.

((NO! BAD!))

Halo opened the first door and gestured for Liam, indicating that it was his room before moving on to find his own.

Liam put his stuff on the ground and looked at the room.

Halo opened his own door and dragged his bag inside, sitting down heavily on the mattress and putting his head in his hands.

Liam rolled into Halo's room, a picture frame in his lap.

Halo straightened up, pretending he had been like that all along.

"Oh stop it." Liam said. "You're not a robot so quit acting like one."

Halo ignored the comment and slid off the bed to unpack his bag.

"Halo." Liam said.

Halo continued unpacking.

Liam pursed his lips before clearing his throat and in a drill like manner said, "Attention!"

Halo shot to attention, then shook his head and glared at Liam, folding his arms.

[Caroline Berry]

"Well if you would listen to me, I would have to do that." Liam said. "Look, I loved Lena just as much as you did so don't think for a second that you can mope around. You know Lena wouldn't want us arguing and being all grumpy with each other. So whatever you need to do or say to get that anger out, do it now."

Halo ran a hand through his hair and turned away slightly, the tension melting from his shoulders.

Liam looked down at the picture frame. "You remember our last day in Afghanistan with her?" Liam asked, looking up at him. "That day she kissed you?"

Halo nodded.

[Caroline Berry]

Liam held out the picture frame. "Well apparently she wanted to keep it as a permanent memory."

Halo took the frame tentatively.

A picture of the said kiss sat in the frame. Liam was nowhere to be seen, as he had taken the picture.

Halo set the frame down with shaking hands.

Liam rolled towards Halo, grabbing him by the shirt and pulling him into a hug.

Halo shook with silent sobs as he collapsed into Liam.

Liam held him tightly.

Halo buried his face in Liam's shoulder.
