Elijah smiled. "I'll be right back." he said and slipped past him to head to his room and grab the second pair of slippers. When he came back, he held them out. "There you go."

Thiôn took the slippers and slid them on gratefully, setting his shoes to the side, then stood a little awkwardly in the corridor, wondering what would be next.

“Shall we?” Elijah asked and lead the way to the sitting room where the chess board was set up.

Thiôn followed with a gracious smile. "I warn you, I'm rusty," he murmured as he took his seat.

Elijah spun the board around and studied his pieces. Waving his hand over them, he wiggles his fingers slightly before grasping a pawn and moving it forward two spaces.

"Complicated move," Thiôn remarked dryly before leaning forwards to move one of his own forwards.

Thiôn continued to play quietly, focusing on the board. He lost more pieces than he would have liked to, and was definitely struggling.

Elijah hesitated, and his brows scrunched together. After a little while, he made his move.

Gwâthiôn stared at the board. He was probably missing a pretty obvious move that Elijah was going to pull if he didn't defend, but he couldn't see it for the life of him, so he just merrily nudged a pawn forwards.

Elijah reached over and moved his bishop. “Check,” he said.

Elijah studied the board and took Thiôn’s bishop out with his knight.
