As a car pulled up to the front doors, a man hurried down the steps to meet it. He grasped the handle of the side door and pulled it open, watching as the young Earl stepped out. The blue-green eyes of the man settled on the large home and a small, fond smile curled on his lips. But as quickly as it was there, it was gone. He fixed his jacket, nodded to the butler and headed inside. He stopped in the entrance, looking around and taking in the features of the place. Closing his eyes, he took deep breaths before opening them again and making his way to the library.
