Justin got into the pocket and just drove. About 45 minutes later, he pulled into a small, empty parking lot filled with gravel. "Here we are." He said, getting out of the car. They were at a place that was surrounded by trees. A clearing extended off into the distance with a single picnic table in the whole area. Justin walked down the clearing, inspecting the area and found a small trail. "Follow me." He said as he walked slowly down the grass trail, giving Dawn a chance to follow behind.

"Just come on." Justin said. He found the opening he was looking for and parted the branches in front of him which opened into another clearing that led to a cliff and the ocean over it. You could see the now setting sun on the horizon if the ocean far off in the distance. "Isn't this beautiful? I love this place."

"I know. I would love to come out here for but it's pretty far from the house." Justin said.

Dawn nods, "Well who says you have to come here on your own?" She says with a small smile.

Gwen sits on a bench at the park. As she thinks about everything that has happened.

"I would love to come here a lot more often with you." Justin said with a smile. "Also, there's a reason I did all this."

Justin's smile faded slightly to a serious look. "Look Dawn, we've been through hell and back. We can't deny that. And I want to tell you a story. When I was in New York, I had a girlfriend named Lizzie. We dated for a little bit and she committed suicide. Before she died, she left me something in my apartment." He pulled out the box. "It was this little box and inside it was a note and it said something along the lines of: 'For when you finally find The One.' And I immediately knew that I had to leave New York and find you. New York wasn't doing me any favors anymore and I knew that you were the one I needed all this time. Things have been bumpy since then but we've been through a lot. We've powered through and bonds like the one we have don't come around often. And so I planned out this night and did all this so that I could ask you a question I've wanted to ask you for a very long time." Justin got down on one knee and opened the box to reveal the ring. "Dawn Haven, will you marry me?"

Justin just laughed and returned the kiss. He started putting the ring on her finger. "I should've known I wouldn't get any sentiment despite that story. It took me long enough but we kind of had some roadblocks in our way." He shrugged. "But hey, better late than never."
