After a little bit, Kora's phone rang.

[Dawn Haven]

Kora picks it up, "Judge...I mean Koa Craven here."

[Caroline Berry]

"Who's the boy?" Preston asked from where he stood.

[Dawn Haven]

Kora sighs, "Prissy, its Jordan Henderson. I went to camp with him." She then smiles, "I think you should say hi." She says handing Jordan the phone not giving him a chance to say no.

[Caroline Berry]

Preston crossed the street and stepped up behind Kora, two men hovering behind him. "Hello Jordan Patterson." he said into the phone before hanging up.

[Dawn Haven]

Kora's eyes go wide and jump hugs him, "PRISSY." She says with excitement, "Jordan, this is my goody-goody brother, Preston."

[Caroline Berry]

Preston rolled his eyes, barely hugging her back as he waved his men off.

[Logan Henderson]

"Hello, sir. I'm Jordan." Jordan said.

[Dawn Haven]

Kora rolls her eyes but smiles, "So Prissy finally gets out of the office. I thought you said you were too busy for a call right now, much less a visit."

[Caroline Berry]

"Hello Jordan." Preston said and looked at Kora. "Can you just once instead of nitpicking just be happy I took time out of my schedule that could be used to bring down crimes rates to check on you?"

[Dawn Haven]

Kora sighs, "Your right, I'm sorry. But Prissy, you could have at least sent a note, or written to Camp. Even once. I got to the point where I figured that you were killed or just didn't care any more."

[Caroline Berry]

Preston pursed his lips. "For starters, stop calling me Prissy. I'm forty-one years old, and the president. I could have you locked up if I wanted to. You think I'm a goody-goody but you don't know half the shit I went through to keep you and Elias safe. Even now. I didn't contact you because I literally couldn't. I spent a majority of my time after leaving camp, homeless. I have been working day and night to pull myself out of the gutter. There were some nights I wished I was dead. Not everything is about you, Kora. I'm very sorry to hear about what you went through, and trust me I will track them down and make them pay. But stop with the guilt trip. We were barely close at camp as it was. I'm tired of this whining about me never calling or contacting. You're a grown woman, start acting like it." Preston ranted. Taking a breath, he looked away. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I no longer feel comfortable in the current situation and I have a country to run." he added before straightening his suit. "Pleasure to meet you Mr. Patterson." he said to Jordan before leaving with his two secret service men at his sides.

[Dawn Haven]

Kora huffs, "You are not as above this as you pretend to be Preston Bates.  At least with my job, I made sure that the guilty and the crooks were punished, where as you eat dinner with them, so long as it means more money in your pocket! Come on Jordan. Its clear I made a mistake in thinking I was related to him. He's just another crooked politician." She says hoofing back to her car.

[Caroline Berry]

Preston chuckled. "Little Miss Thinks She Knows Everything. Good to know you're egos gotten larger since camp." he said, stopping and turning slightly. "You always were full of yourself and now.. you're full of yourself and shit. You read newspapers and believe them just because you want to. I don't have dinner with criminals. And I don't think I'm above anyone. I know where I came from, and I'm trying to make the world
Better for as many people as I can for the four or maybe eight years that I'm in office. Next time, get your head out of your ass so you see things clearly."

[Dawn Haven]

Kora pauses, "I don't have to read the news papers Preston. Everything you have just said has proven my point. Think about how many times a day, you say the word, 'I'. Is this what you wanted? Or what you thought everyone expected you to be because of who your dad was. I don't doubt that you went through hell as a kid, and frankly right now I could care less. And you want to talk about egos? Take a look in the mirror. Yeah I'm stubborn. I'm stubborn about things I care about. You were the one person growing up that I really looked up to. You might have the looks and name and power your dad had, but you the crooked personality of mom. If you ever threaten me again, or even think about talking to me again, I'll see you in court." She says heading to her car, not looking back.

[Caroline Berry]

Preston clenched his jaw and went after her, grabbing her arm firmly. "You want to speak about my father again? You know nothing about him. Don't talk about him again, ever. And for the record, you never bothered to call either. So, kettle, look in the mirror before you call the pot black." he said. "Before you go making assumptions about me and how I do my job, why don't you try actually talking to me? Because all you've done since we've reconnected is taken your daddy issues out on me." He let go of her arm and looked at her. "I was really hoping you wouldn't turn this into what it's become. I was excited to talk to you. To reconnect. I missed my little sister." he said and looked down. "I was hoping you'd be proud of me. Because even though I didn't call you, I thought of you. I wanted to make you proud. But that was obviously foolish of me because you'll never focus on anyone but yourself. Goodbye Kora. I won't contact you again." he turned and went to his own car, climbing in and letting his service agents drive him away.

[Dawn Haven]

Kora frowns not saying anything. As her and Jordan reach the car when a man and woman walk up to them. The woman sticks something in Jordan's leg knocking him out to the ground. Kora tries to get in her car but the man pulls her out, "What do you want?" "Your silence." they say and the woman shoots Kora twice in the gut. Kora screams out in pain as they pick up Jordan in her truck and drive off, leaving her bleeding in the street. She struggles as she takes her scarf and wraps it tight around the wound. As she dials 911{or what ever the Chicago equivalent is} she tells them where she is, then passes out from shock and exhaustion.

[Logan Henderson]

When Jordan comes to, he's in a car he doesn't recognize. "What the hell are you doing!?" Jordan asked. "Where are you taking me!? And where's Kora!?"

[Dawn Haven]

"Getting the govornment's attention is what. As for your girlfriend, with any luck she will be in a bag in the morgue." The woman says as the man drives.

Meanwhile, a passerby found Kora and called an ambulance. And, of course, pretty soon it was all over the news: "In recent news with the growing crime rate, Ex Judge Kora Craven, was critically shot twice in a parking lot. Investigators are looking into security footage, and no updates on if anyone was with her during the attack. I have been informed that she has been taken to the hospital in critical condition."

[Logan Henderson]

"You better let me go!" Jordan said.

[Dawn Haven]

The man and woman laugh, "Oh honey we will due time."

[Logan Henderson]

"I swear to God, if you don't let me go and find my girlfriend, there's going to be hell to pay " Jordan said.

[Dawn Haven]

The woman sighs and shows him the news feed of Kora, "Happy? You're lucky my brother is so forgiving. If it were up to me she wouldn't be alive still."

[Logan Henderson]

Jordan grunted. "Where are you taking me?" He asked. "What do you want from me?"

[Dawn Haven]

The woman smiles, "To use you as leverage dear. as to where we are going. You'll just have to wait and see."
Meanwhile Kora was undergoing intensive care in the hospital. The doctors go through her phone contacts and find the name 'Preston' was recently dialed, so they call the number.
