Jordan pulled back and smiled as he felt the ambulance come to a stop. "I love you."

Kora smiles, "I love you too." She says as she struggles to keep her composure, as the EMTs take him into the hospital and direct her to a waiting room.

Jordan looked up at the EMT. "Doc, is everything going to be okay?" He asked once Kora was out of earshot.

The EMT passes their notes to the doctor, "You have some internal bleeding and broken bones, but other than that you should live. Now lets get you set up in a room."

Kora paces nervously as she waits for news about Jordan.

Jordan woke up and looked at the clock in his room. "5:00" He looked outside. "Must be PM." He was out for a few hours. He hit the button to call the nurse into his room.

The nurse comes into the room, "Oh good you're awake. Is there anything I can get you?"

"Yeah. Two things actually. 1) Information. I want to know if they did any operations on me or anything while I was out. Last I remember I was being wheeled down a hallway and I kinda dozed off. 2) My girlfriend is waiting out there. I want her in here with me if possible. Her name is Kora Craven." Jordan said. He then paused and his throat felt dry too. "Actually make that 3. Can I get some water too?"

The nurse smiles, "Yes we did do some minor surgery to make sure none of the major organs were damaged and to set some fractured bones in your rib cage. I can go out and get her and yes I will get your water."
Kora then bursts through the door and the nurse chuckles , "Well I guess Ill just get the water then." They say and leave a both relived and anxious Kora in the room with him, "I came as soon as I heard you were awake. I would have come in sooner but they wouldn't let me in."

Kora rushes over to him and gives him a kiss. "I applied for a job today. They said I could start work next week."

Kora shakes her head, "It doesn't matter what I do. All that matters is Ill be able to pay for your care. My brother is great, but he has enough on his plate as it is, without my problems bothering him."
