Kora goes to her job. As humiliating dancing on the stage being gawked at like a piece of meat was she need this to pay for Jordan's bills. "I'm doing this for him." She kept telling herself.

Jordan stared at the tv with the sound entering his ears but he wasn't really listening to it. All he wanted was Kora to be there with him.

Kora gets back home in tears. One of the "regulars" at work decided to get too friendly with her. She would have smacked the guy and told him off but was told from the start to hold her tongue, so she just took it. She both wished Jordan was home but at the same time glad that he wasn't.

A receptionist at the desk answers the phone. "This is Memorial Hospital, how may I help you?"

"Hi could you connect me to Jordan Patterson's room please?" she says softly trying to make her voice sound like she hadn't been crying for the last hour.

"Sure. One moment." The phone line goes silent for a moment before ringing again and Jordan picks up the phone as if he had been waiting for a call. You could tell in his voice that he was tired. "Hello?" He asked.

Kora takes a deep breath so as not to start crying again, and tried to sound calm, "Still not sleeping hu?"

Kora sighs, "I know. It'll be like that for a while. Maybe we could bring in a therapist to come talk to you while you recover."

Kora sighs as she thinks about work, "I know how you feel. But sometimes that means that you accept being powerless on your own and accept help from others."

Jordan lay back. He didn't want to admit it but maybe Kora was right. Maybe therapy was the only way he'd actually be able to get some sleep. Even then it just didn't seem like it did him any good to have someone poke at his brain and figure out for him why he's crazy.

Kora sighs. As much as she wanted to tell her brother what was going on he had enough problems of his own let alone taking up her problems. as she dances she counts down the months, days and hours until she can work enough to pay for Jordan's bills. "He can never know." she promised herself as works.
