Halo walked up the stairs to his temporary apartment, fumbling with the keys and switching the shopping into the other hand so he could fit his key into the lock. He eventually managed it and sidled inside, elbowing the light switch.

Halo was rummaging through his bag, trying to find the bread, when there was a knock at the door. He frowned to himself, but backtracked. He squinted through the peephole. A random girl was standing outside his apartment. Shrugging, and deciding she couldn't do much harm to an ex-soldier and basically pain-resistent demigod, he unlocked the door and swung it open.
"Hi, can I help you?" He asked, wincing slightly at how out of place his accent sounded. But who cared, a job was a job, and he enjoyed it. And if it made him stand out as the only Brit (or among not many others) he didn't really care.
