As Halo sat down to eat, he picked up his phone and began to type out another email, again to an army friend.

Hey, Liam. I think I'm in your area for a job. Fancy meeting up for a pint or whatever you do nowadays?

He signed off in his usual way, the emoticon representing his name.

Justin stood up. "I'm gonna go." He closed the door behind him, taking the elevator down to the floor that Emma's apartment was on. He approached the apartment and knocked on the door.

Halo groaned, again scrabbling for his wallet, fishing out the crumpled piece of paper which had the address of his temporary apartment scribbled on it. He quickly shot off a reply, again, with the emoticon at the end, and sat back, munching on his sandwich with relish.
