Lena looked up at the curse word, the voice sounding familiar. She cracked a grin. "Well, I know I'm a queen but you don't have to bow." she teased.

Halo's head shot up. "Lena!" He grinned, sweeping her up in a warm embrace.

Lena stepped back a little. "Look at you. You actually look like a civilian. Not a soldier. It's a good look for you."

"Well, I'm not out of practice," Halo admitted. Most of his work included combat stunts, not just the usual risks such as falling over or riding.

"Come on up," Halo steered her away from that topic, gesturing to the building. "Sorry, the lift's broken, so we'll have to take the steps." He limped to the door and opened it for her.
