Jonathan made made sharp, startled, concerned noise, and Tom moved instantly to check his son over. "David?"

Ben was standing up instantly, concern plastered on his face.

Jo even got up.

David opened his eyes and looked up at Tom. "Hi Papa..." he said sleepily, somehow not fazed by his fall.

Tom picked him up, running a careful hand through David's hair, not noticing Jonathan's distress at how he now couldn't see his brother and was biting at his fist.

Ben walked over to Jonathan and rested a hand on his shoulder. "Tom, love." he said quietly.

David curled into his father's chest with a tired yawn.

Jonathan jumped at the hand on his shoulder, but his chewing lessened as Tom turned and Jonathan could see David. He raised his free arm towards Ben, mumbling, "Up?" around his fist.

Ben picked Jonathan up and held him close. "Well that was quite the scare for breakfast." Ben said, trying to lighten the mood.

"Yeah," Tom chuckled, kissing the top of his sleepy son's head, watching as Jonathan curled into Ben's chest like his brother.

David curled into Tom more.

Ben smiled and rested his cheek on the top of Jonathan's head.

"You're all a bunch of saps. I'm going to check on Echo." Jo said with a smile and left the room.

Tom chuckled, leaning in to kiss Ben's cheek, but stopped as Jonathan's hand gently pushed his face back.

Ben laughed a bit and smiled at Jonathan. David woke up with a jolt at Jonathan's noise and blinked a bit as he looked around.

Tom kissed the top of David's head softly, watching as Jonathan turned into Ben's chest with a huff and a scowl.
