"That call was from a doctor at a hospital back home. My mom isn't doing well and they think she's not going to make it much longer. My mom wanted to see me one more time. So I'm going back to Chicago. Just booked my flight as well." Justin said.

Killian gets back to the house with Dawn who was in a wheel chair. "We're back." Killian anounces as he sets his things down.
Cinder nods, "You're lucky you have someone. You close with him?"

Alec sighed. "I tried... but... when we were sent to the foster homes, we were separated. I tried to stay in contact, but his foster parents didn't really like it, especially because I acted out as a result of our separation, then I joined the military, and then when I got out I was in solitary. Not exactly the best places to be getting to know your brother. I wish I knew him better."

Cinder sighs, "I'm sorry. I never met my mom, in fact she diidnt even claim me until I turned 16. My Dad died in a car accident when I was 12. Which was also when I lost my foot and..." she pauses fiddeling with her glove on her fake hand, "Any way, my stepfamily took me, but it was only because of my dad. The only who was ever kind to me was my younger stepsister Peony. She got really sick and died a week later, Adri never forgave for that, said it was my fault she was gone." She says takeing a deep breath, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to spill all that on you."

"It's fine. My dad claimed me in possibly the worst way imaginable." He cleared his throat, looking down. "The... the day my powers manifested, I was young. Very young. I couldn't control them. And... they got out of control, set the plane on fire... Scott and I barely got out alive. No-one else did. I doubt he remembers much about it, but it's engrained in my memory. It's why I hate my powers. That, and because of all the other times they've got out of control and killed or hurt people."

Killian let's them talk things out as he helps Dawn with her things, Dawn looks at Justin. There was something about him... her mind was still foggy as to why she was drawn to him, but she just was.

Cinder nods, "Have you done many pojects before? With metal I mean."
