"Oh, you'll want to talk to the Macready or Ms Roe then. I'm just sat here 'cause it's the only office chair in the building." Owen shrugged.

Ben dropped the act. "The only chair?" he asked. He made a mental note to write a check for the orphanage so they can get more chairs.

"Only office chair." Owen swung round in it. "The only twirly chair. All the others are comfy, true, but this is the best."

"So you're back again?" Owen casually crunched another biscuit.

"We are. David and Jonathan are so wonderful, we decided to adopt again." Ben replied, smiling and looking at Tom.

Owen looked at them carefully. "Any preference?" He asked slowly.

"A girl." Ben said, looking back at Owen. "I thought we were supposed to wait for Ms. Roe?"

Suddenly from behind the door a loud voice told Jo to get away from the office. A talk woman burst in and smiled at Ben and Tom before turning to look at Owen with disapproval.

Ben watched the boy go before he looked at the tall woman.

"Hello gentlemen." she said.

The door opened again and a plump woman bustled in. "Ah, Ms. Roe." The taller said. "You're here. Very good, I had to leave the trio unattended." She nodded to Tom and Ben before stalking out. "Gentlemen."

Ben watched the exchange and nodded to Ms. Macready.

"Gentlemen," Ms. Roe beamed, clapping her hands together as she walked around the desk to sit in the chair Owen had vacated.

Ben offered a smile. "Hello, I'm sure you remember us from the last time, but just as a reminder, I'm Ben and this is my partner Tom. We adopted David and Jonathan.

Ben chuckled. "Yes, the boys have been wonderful and now Tom and I have decided we want a girl."

Just as he said this, Jo walked in with a tray of tea on it.
