Graham shook his head. He knew he was being stubborn, but a twisted thought was in his mind that if he opted to be weak for a moment, he'd be weak for the rest of his life.

"Gods' sakes, Gray!" Liss said exasperatedly as she set the needle down. She rummaged for a needle and after finding a vein with the help of Alex, injected the strong morphine dose.

Graham struggled against them but relaxed when the morphine kicked in He closed his eyes, turning his head, trying to hide his face.
