That afternoon Ben and the boys went to the doctors and after the doctor confirmed JARVIS' suspicions, the family spent the next few weeks learning how to deal with it.

Tom had given Jo a new phone, top of the range, on the way to their hotel on the business trip, and explained his designs with some vigour. When they got back, a brand new laptop, also designed by Tom, was sitting on her bed.

Ben, who had barely slept since Jonathan was diagnosed, had let his his facial hair grow out and it did not look good.

"What's wrong?" Ben asks, placing the papers down. He stood up as a small frown appeared on his face.

"Worried? About me? There's no reason to worry, darling." Ben said and crossed the room to Tom. He smiled gently at him. "I'm okay." He pressed a light kiss to his forehead.

Ben placed a hand on Tom's neck and ran his thumb across his cheek lightly. His eyes got glossy with tears. "For once in my life, I don't know what to do. How am I supposed to explain to David why his brother says the things he says or does the things he does? And Jonathan, how am I supposed to prepare him for this life?" Ben said weakly. "How am I supposed to look at them and not be scared for them?"
