Tom was asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow.

Ben got Jo all settled down and lead her to bed, saying goodnight before heading to the room he shared with Tom. He walked in quietly, smiling softly at the sight of Tom sleeping. Walking over, he leaned down, pressing a kiss to his forehead before moving around the bed to his side. He peeled off his shirt, throwing it in the hamper before his pants and socks followed. He grabbed a pair of pj pants and pulled them on, slipping under the covers, grabbing another book he had begun reading.

Tom grunted in his sleep but otherwise remained as he was.

Ben sat up reading and glanced at the door when he heard the doorknob turn. He saw David and smiled, patting the space on the bed next to him.

David shuffled over to his father's side of the bed and Ben hoisted him up.

"Nightmares?" Ben whispered to which David nodded. Ben lifted the covers and David crawled in, curling up next to Ben.

JARVIS spoke quietly from the ceiling. Sir, I believe Master Jonathan is in some distress. His vitals are elevated and he is thrashing.

Ben looked up. "Thank you JARVIS." Ben said and shook Tom gently. "Darling, I have to check on Jonathan. David is in the bed beside you." he said and got up, grabbing a plain t-shirt as he went. He rushed to the twins room and entered, looking at his son.

Tom woke and rolled over, sitting up. "Hey, David," he murmured tiredly.

Jonathan was writhing on the bed, locked in a ferocious nightmare even Apollo and Artemis were unable to raise him from. Their solemn eyes blinked up at Ben, waiting for him to rescue their small charge.

"Hi Papa.." David mumbled, moving closer to Tom and curling into his side.

Ben rushed to Jonathan's side and took the boy in his arms. He held him tight enough to restrain him but not to hurt him. "Jonathan, it's Daddy. You need to wake up." he said softly in the boy's ear. "Come on, wake up."

Tom stroked a hand through David's hair. "Hey,"

Jonathan wailed wordlessly, thrashing even more. The panthers growled, a warning not to hurt their charge.

David looked up at Tom. "Yeah?"

Ben started softly stroking the boy's head. "Easy, Jonathan, easy. Listen to my voice. Just listen to Daddy." he said softly, starting to sway his body in a rocking motion.

Tom kissed the top of his head. "I love you."

Jonathan's wails eventually diminished to wet sobs as he curled into his father's chest.

"Love you too, Papa." David said and snuggled into him more, but looked up when the door creaked open and Jo stepped in with tears on her face.

"I'm here, sweetheart. Daddy's here." Ben whispered, his rocking never ceasing.

"Daddy," Jonathan choked, clutching at him.

Jo rushed over and crawled on top of her dad

David moved over at little so she had room.

"Shh, it's okay." Ben said. "Daddy's here."

Tom made an 'oomph' noise but included her in his embrace. "What's wrong, sweetie?"

Jonathan clung to him, crying.

"It hurts.." she mumbled, tears spilling down her cheeks as she hid her face in his shoulder.

"It's alright. You're alright." Ben said.

"Oh, honey," Tom murmured, and kissed the top of her head before sliding out to get something from the bathroom. He returned with a hot water bottle and ibuprofen. "Here," he murmured.

Jonathan eventually stilled and looked up at him with wide, wet eyes.

Jo took the hot water bottle and rested it on her lower abdomen before taking the ibuprofen.

David moved closer to Jo and curled into her, hating to see her cry. Jo wrapped an arm around her little brother.

"Hello little one." Ben said softly, still stroking Jonathan's head.

David looked up at Tom and he and Jo moved over so Tom could get back in the bed.

Ben smiled softly and glanced at the panthers.

They were sat blinking at him, purring slightly as Jonathan calmed.

Jonathan squirmed at the feel of his father's eyes on him.

David smiled.

Jo leaned her head on Tom's shoulder.

Ben leaned against David's bed and rested his head again. Then he heard Echo starting to cry. He sighed and got up, setting Jonathan back in his bed and pulling the covers over him before going to check on the baby.

Jonathan wriggled out of bed and followed as soon as Ben turned his back, padding along silently.
