It was the last inning, they were down to the last batter. There was a runner on second and Kol had already thrown two strikes. He took a deep breath, deciding that instead of using his fast ball, he'd use his curve ball.

"Oh boy." Freya said quietly.

Kol threw the ball, and for him, time slowed down. It felt like an eternity.

For Freya on the other hand, time sped up. It was like a blink of the eye.

"Strike three! You're out!" the umpire called. And from the third base, a referee yelled, "Out!"

Kol turned and smiled. "Sure." he said and kneeled down, signing the baseball. He took his hat off and placed it on the kid's head. "Keep it." he told him. Then he signed the hat to make it authentic.
