Meredith grinned playfully. "Seriously, do you want me to go check on Spengler for you?"

"Be back in a bit!" Meredith said with a smile and walked off to Spengler's room. When she got there, she walked in with a bright smile.

"Well, I'm going to double check with Dr. Shepherd, but I don't see a reason why not." Meredith said and then looked up at him. "Feeling any fatigue? Drowsiness?"

Meredith smiled. "Okay." she said and moved the blanket away from his feet a bit. "Wiggle your toes for me."

Derek was leaving another patient's room and met her halfway. "How are we looking?" he asked merrily.

"Mr. Spengler is fully fuctioning. I think a quick check up from you should do it. I think he's ready to go home." she said with a smile.

"Great," Derek grinned, patting her shoulder. "I'll go check him over. Can I catch you for coffee later? There might be some scrubbing in, if you can," he teased.

Meredith let out a chuckle and went to the elevators. She pressed the button and waited.
