Meredith breathed heavily. "Don't scare me like that." she said. "But yes. Coffee sounds great."

Derek chuckled. "Let's go get coffee then," he grinned, gesturing to the elevator down to the bottom floor.

Meredith was left in a haze for a moment, a smile on her face and the taste of his lips on hers. After a moment, she cleared her throat and adjusted herself.

Derek managed to maintain his composure with other people present until they got to the ground floor and the doors had closed behind them, and he burst out laughing.
