Liam smiled at the kiss. "Love you too!" he said and grabbed his wallet and keys before leaving the house and locking up behind him.

Halo returned late that night, letting himself in and moving to sit in one of the armchairs with a groan.

Liam glanced at his room as a very pregnant Sam walked out. "We have company love." he said softly.

Halo made an effort to sit up, smile, and look alive. "Hi," he stood and walked over. "I'm Halo." He held out his hand.

"Seems like he keeps himself pretty busy already." Sam said, raising an eyebrow and glancing at her brother teasingly.

"Ah, I'm sure he can fit you into his schedule," Halo laughed. "But if you don't mind, I'm going to be a very impolite host and pass out. I'm sure Liam can keep you entertained." He smiled at Sam and moved to kiss Liam's cheek once more before departing for his room.

Liam smiled and watched him go.

Sam smiled. "I like him." she told her brother quietly.

Liam smiled more. "Me too." he responded.

Sam got tears in her eyes and tried to wipe them away.

Liam reached forward and pulled his sister into his lap, holding her close.

Halo changed into his pyjamas and plugged his phone in, passing out as soon as his head hit the pillow.
