"It's fine," Halo smiled. "Just caught the wrong end of the shield. Well, just failed to catch it at all. It's fine, it doesn't hurt." He leaned down to kiss Liam briefly. "I promise I'm fine."

Liam smiled. "Sam is in bed. She's not really sleeping, mostly because she's basically slept since she got here." he said. He sighed. "She's scared. She's scared and heartbroken and it makes me want to go to New York and find this Justin guy and show him what we used to do in the military when guys treated the women badly."

"I know... But she's my sister." Liam said, glancing at the door behind him before letting his voice drop to a whisper. "Imagine if that was Lena." he said, looking at Halo. "We would have murdered the guy twice over by now."
