Lucas had gotten off work and felt he needed to make amends with someone. He had remembered Tessa's address so he drove over there and walked up to the door, his heart racing. He gathered his composure and knocked on the door with a deep breath.

She returned with two glasses of wine and the bottle in a chiller in case they wanted more. She sat in her chair and curled her legs up under her "so what's up?"
