A fresh wave of tears streamed down Pietro's cheeks as he shrugged off his sister's grip and curled into the window, burying his face in a sweater that wasn't his, but Alexei's.

Lidija stared out of the window and curled her fists into balls, struggling to keep back the despair, frustration and helplessness threatening to overwhelm her.

Natalia spoke briefly to the pilot before strapping herself and Pietro in, as he obviously wasn't going to do it himself.

"This way," Natalia gestured out of the door as she hopped down. The pilot unbuckled Pietro and pulled him to his feet, while his pristine, suit-clad co-pilot held out a hand to help Lidija down.

Lidija cautiously put her hand in his and stepped down, taking everything in yet still keeping an eye on Pietro.

"Welcome to SHIELD, Ms. Maximoff," the suited man spoke as the other lead Pietro off. As he descended, Pietro stumbled and a small velvet box fell from his grasp and landed on the floor in front of his sister.

Lidija bent down and picked it up curiously before handing it back to Pietro.

Pietro took it with a shaking hand. swallowing hard. He balled it into a fist and hid further into his sweatshirt.

Fresh tears swam in Pietro's eyes as he dipped his head in acknowledgement.

Pietro just dipped his head and turned away, eyes flicking to Natalia briefly (who looked shocked and a little teary-eyed herself) before back to the grey asphalt.

Lidija silently blinked away a tear and turned to Natalia for instruction.

The other two followed behind the twins, walking patiently behind Pietro, who was trailing behind Natalia, feet scuffing and dragging.
