"Shh" Pietro hissed, placing a hand on Alexei's chest and turning to face the door.

Lidija smiled and blushed slightly, recognising Pietro's flustered face and deducing its meaning. "I'll leave you two to it." she whispered, so that only he could hear.

Alexei kissed back harder, one arm around Pietro's middle, the other running through Pietro's slicked back hair.

The door slammed open, and Pietro spun around, startled.

Alexei stood up straight and turned to face the door, his heart hammering violently. Lidija burst in, clutching a newspaper in one hand and running the other through her long hair distractedly.

Pietro visibly relaxed as he saw it was his sister, and hastily corrected his hair and clothing. "What, Lidij?" he demanded impatiently.

"What?!" Pietro yelped, snatching it from his sister and unfolding it. He swore and turned to Alexei in desperation.

Alexei looked around wildly. "This is not good, this is not good at all." he muttered, taking a deep breath to steady himself. "We have to run." Alexei announced. He looked straight into Pietro's eyes. "Now." he said urgently.

"Where?" Pietro yelped, then swore again as the door banged open again to reveal Natalia. "With me," she spoke quietly. "Come on, quick now!"

Alexei stared blankly at her in shock. Lidija grabbed Pietro and pushed him towards the door. "Come on!" she urged.

"Alexei!" Pietro yelped as he was pulled, reaching out desperately. Natalia pulled the twins out into the corridor and set off at a run.
